Welcome to Upper Savoy!
Upper Savoy or as it's called in French “Haute-Savoie” is located in France's French Alps region. Switzerland borders the region to the north, while to the east it is bordered by Italy, to the west the French region of Ain, and to the south the French region of Savoy. Upper Savoy is home to many scenic towns and villages offering history, culture and an abundance of recreational activities. Some of the region's well-known towns include: Chamonix, a hot spot for skiing due to its close proximity to Mont Blanc; and Evian-les-Bains, world renowned for their popular mineral water, Evian. Visitors can take a tour at the Evian Water Facility and learn all about their world famous water. Annecy is also a much visited town and is home to Annecy Castle (Château Annecy). The castle dominates the town and has been painstakingly restored and also operates as a museum. Annecy is also near Lake Annecy (Lac d'Annecy) known as “Europe's Cleanest Lake.” Tourists flock here to enjoy swimming and water sports.Tour Operators
